At the end of May I attended a conference in the French-speaking part of Switzerland for 5 days, and the venue is located in Les Diablerets, a skiing town to the east of Lake Geneva (or Lac Léman as the local name in French ). The most eye-catching landmark of Geneva is its Jet d’eau (water jet) that reaches about 50 m in height and can be seen anywhere around the lake. The south side of the lake is the more interesting part of town with a shopping street and the old town which is located on a small hill.
